Co-located with Eastbrooke Medical Centre (with 14 practicing GPs) in Main Street, Blacktown, providing strong referral pathways. The clinic is a five-minute walk from the local train station and provides services to a large population within a close catchment area.

Conducting a wide range of research in primary care, the Western Sydney clinic has hosted our most successful vaccine studies in both healthy and patient populations.

Parking

We provide Participant parking which is accessible via Kelso Lane by following signage to the Eastbrooke Medical Centre Parking. Parking is free of charge. Paratus Clinical is accessed from the elevators to the right-hand side as you face the building from the rear. We are located on Level 2 alongside Pacific Smiles Dental. There is additional free parking in Colo Lane within the Blacktown Council car park.

Public Transport

Paratus Clinical is located on the Main Street of Blacktown and is easily reached by public transport with a major bus hub and train station located within easy walk to the clinic.

Dr. Rahul Mohan

Medical Director, Principal Investigator
Dr. Mohan graduated from the University of NSW in 2013 and further trained at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital and Westmead Hospital. He is a fellow of RACGP and an active General Practitioner, alongside his work with us at Paratus. Dr. Mohan has a Certificate of Skin Cancer Medicine and co-authored a number of publications. In 2018 he was awarded North Coast (NSW) Registrar of the Year.

Dr Noor Glass

Sub-Investigator
Dr Glass graduated from Dubai Medical College (UAE) in 2009, and went on to complete a Master’s degree in Public Health from UNSW in 2012. She completed her medical training in the Sydney South West Local Health District, with experience in gynecology, obstetrics, psychiatry and emergency medicine.

Dr. Mariam Chaalan

Principal Investigator
Dr Chaalan graduated from the University of Wollongong, completed her training at Concord and St George’s Hospital, plus an ongoing Master’s in Public Health at the University of Sydney. She has worked overseas in Africa as a medical volunteer, in GP practices in Sydney and for the Home Doctors service.

Dr. Fiona Napier-Flood

Principal Investigator
Dr. Napier-Flood graduated from the University of Notre Dame. She completed her hospital training in Westmead, Auburn and Westmead Children's Hospital and has worked in several general practices across Sydney. She also has further training in Children's health. Prior to medicine, she completed a Ph.D. in Pharmacology at the University of Sydney in 1993 and worked in medical research for over 15 years.

Dr. Ushma Narsai

Sub Investigator
Dr. Narsai graduated from the University of the Witwatersrand (South Africa) in 2000 and then obtained fellowship with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. She has been involved in clinical trials since 2003 and has been involved in trials involving diabetes, hypertension, and vaccines.

Dr. Aarti Samtani

Sub Investigator
Dr. Samtani graduated from the University of NSW in 2013 and went on to further her training at Royal Adelaide Hospital, Sutherland Hospital and St George Hospitals. She is currently working as a Geriatrician/Geriatric Medicine Specialist in Liverpool Hospital and is an Academic Educator for University of NSW. She has a keen interest in medical education and is a clinical examiner for UNSW.
